First and foremost, thank you for your interest in Bannworth Academy of Classical Education. The fact that you are here tells me something important already: you are searching for something different. Perhaps even something deeper. We are honored that your journey has brought you to us.

Bannworth Academy is not a conventional school, and quite honestly, we were never meant to be. 

​

Currently, we serve students from kindergarten through twelfth grade through a highly individualized Adventure microschool model built around classical scholarship, expeditionary learning, faith, and real-world discovery. We fill up quickly because class sizes are intentionally limited to preserve the depth, mentorship, and individualized experience that make Bannworth unique. Families interested in joining our Learning Expedition are strongly encouraged to reserve seats in advance.

Over the last several years, Bannworth Academy has grown into something extraordinary. During our 2023–2024 Travel Year, we lived the dream. Every school day became an expedition. Students boarded buses and traveled to museums, libraries, historical sites, nature preserves, fossil localities, and national parks. There was no fixed classroom because the world itself became our classroom.

Bannworth Academy was honored as Best Private School in Florida in 2023, 2024, and 2025 in the Guide to Florida rankings. By the grace of God and the incredible support of our families, we are now pursuing our next great milestone: five consecutive years as Best Private School in Florida.

So what exactly is Bannworth?

​

We are a Judaic Christian niche microschool specializing in archaeology, the ancient world, ancient languages, and expeditionary learning. We teach all core academic subjects, but we do so through a completely different lens than most modern systems.

​

At the heart of the Academy is the Bannworth Education Method™, our signature educational model developed through years of observation, research, and real-world application. Through our Chrono Teaching™ initiative and Global Education philosophy, we study and implement the strongest instructional methods from cultures around the world and throughout history. Rather than assuming modern education has perfected learning, we intentionally draw from classical systems, global methodologies, mentorship models, rhetoric, logic, deep reading, field inquiry, and hands-on application.

We believe students should not merely consume information. They should wrestle with it. Explore it. Build with it. Defend it. Apply it.

Education at Bannworth is immersive. Sometimes messy. Often adventurous. Always meaningful.

​

Our classrooms function much like the historic one-room schoolhouse model. Students of multiple ages learn together in a multi-tier environment where younger students are elevated by exposure to advanced ideas, and older students develop leadership, patience, and mastery through mentoring others. It is remarkable to watch students grow in confidence when they are treated not as passive recipients of information, but as capable scholars and explorers.

And yes, we are absolutely an adventure school.

We climb trees. We build things. We dig holes. We zipline. We explore forests. We get dirty. We conduct fieldwork. We search for fossils. We study ancient civilizations. We spend time outdoors because we believe God created a world worth exploring firsthand. We are also proudly certified in Forest Schooling through the European program and remain deeply committed to experiential learning.

But above all else, Bannworth is rooted firmly in faith.

​

We are a Judaic Christian school and the official school of THE SHAKAD OF NEW JERUSALEM JUDEOCHRISTIAN CHURCH. We teach both the Old and New Testament, celebrate Jewish and Christian holidays and festivals, teach Hebrew, pray together throughout the day, and unapologetically place Jesus Christ at the center of our educational philosophy. Faith is not treated as an isolated subject here. It is the lens through which we pursue truth, character, morality, wonder, and purpose.

Bannworth Academy welcomes students from all educational backgrounds and ability levels. Advanced learners, struggling learners, neurodivergent learners, and students who simply never fit comfortably into traditional systems often thrive here because we intentionally build around the child rather than forcing the child to conform to a rigid system. As an Advanced Level Two Board Certified Autism Therapist, I also provide Educational Modification Behavior Therapy and individualized support strategies where appropriate.

​

We currently offer an in-house tuition assistance option known as the CHEOPS Scholarship, reducing tuition to $99.95 weekly for qualifying families. We also offer Pre and Post School Adventuring, private tutoring opportunities, and Academic Clubs including Chess Club, Lego Club, and Art Club.

Now that you have survived this rather adventurous letter and what may qualify as a small archaeological scroll, I want to be honest with you:

Bannworth is not for everyone.

​

We do not want to be everything to everyone. We want to be authentically Bannworth.

​

We are looking for families who value curiosity, courage, scholarship, faith, discipline, exploration, and wonder. Families who believe education should shape not only the mind, but the soul and character of a child.
